Peter Capaldi, best known for playing the Twelfth Doctor in Doctor Who, recently dropped by a rehearsal studio to watch the Scottish Pink Floyd as they prepared for their upcoming Wish You Were Here shows. After hearing a few songs, he recorded a short video expressing his appreciation for the band's sound. “I can tell you” he said, “I've just been left feeling comfortably numb and so will you!” urging people to go and enjoy the show. Watch the video below.
This isn’t the first connection between Doctor Who and the music of Pink Floyd. The band has incorporated Doctor Who-like sounds into their music in the past, including a segment in Sheep and more prominently in live versions of One of These Days.
You can catch the Scottish Pink Floyd.this July at Glasgow's Barras Art and Design and Dunoon's Queen's Hall.
